About
Dr Dhandapani completed his training in India from Madras Medical college in Chennai and undertook postgraduate training at Manipal University.
He underwent training at London, York, Dundee, Leeds and Bradford and has been a consultant pain physician for over twelve years. During this time he has honed his diagnostic acumen and clinical decision-making skills through direct engagement with a wide spectrum of complex pain conditions.
A cornerstone of Dr Dhandapani’s practice is empowering patients through education. He believes that informed patients are better equipped to make decisions about their care, adhere to treatment plans and pursue wellness actively.
Special interests
Dr Dhandapani sees patients with the following conditions:
- Back and neck pain
- Joint pains (hips and knees)
- Leg pains including sciatic
- Widespread pains
- Pains after surgery, including scar-related pains
- Neuropathic pains.
Personal interests
Outside of clinical practice, Dr Dhandapani enjoys fitness training, socialising with friends and family and he is a keen photographer.
