How can I access the club?
The main access to the club for members and visitors is now via the new Racecourse View Bridge, from Hambridge Lane. However, members can also access the club via our original entrance from Racecourse Road. Please note: This route is controlled by rising bollards, so members need to register their vehicle registration details with us.
What equipment do you have?
We have an extensive gym with a range of cardiovascular and resistance machines, a large free weights area and a functional training zone including a full Synrgy frame.
Is the gym air-conditioned?
Yes, our gym and studios are cooled to 18 degrees.
I’ve never done an exercise class before. Will the instructor help me?
Rest assured, you’re in safe hands with our experienced instructors. We recommend arriving 5 minutes early. Before the start of the class, the instructor will ask if there are any newcomers so that he or she can assist you.
How big are your classes?
Class sizes vary depending on the type and time of the class, but our main studio comfortably holds 40 members, with a maximum capacity of 50. Our spin studio takes 25 members. Take a look at the wide range of classes we offer and try one out.
Do I need to book classes in advance?
All classes, except 'Baby & Me', can be booked online up to 8 days in advance.
Will somebody show me how to use the equipment?
Yes, one of our expert Wellbeing Trainers will give you a full induction of the gym. This includes a personalised exercise programme to help you get the most out of your membership.
What does my gym membership include?
Your Nuffield Health membership includes:

Do I need to pay for a locker?
No, your membership card is used to activate your locker.
What changing facilities do you have?
We have spacious male and female changing rooms with large lockers, private showers with complimentary products, and hairdryers.
How busy does the gym get?
The gym is busiest on Monday to Thursday from 17:30-20:30.
Our busiest classes are 09:30 and 18:00 Monday to Friday.
The swimming pool is busiest during swimming lesson times: Weekdays 16:00-18:00, Saturdays 09:30-12:00
Do you have a car park?
Yes, we have free on-site parking for our members and visitors.
Is the pool heated?
Yes, the pool is kept at a comfortable temperature of 30 degrees.
Do you have a sauna or steam room?
Yes, we have a sauna and a steam room to relax in after your workout. We also have a poolside spa pool.
What should I bring?
You’ll need your membership card to enter the club. We recommend wearing light and comfortable clothing. Please bring a bottle of water. You can fill up at one of our water fountains in the gym.
Can I freeze my membership?
If you’re ill, injured, pregnant or made redundant, you can freeze your membership at any time. Further terms and conditions regarding freezing or cancelling your membership can be found here.
