He has extensive experience in caring for patients with cataracts, glaucoma and a wide range of eyelid abnormalities including tumours, droopy lids, ‘eye bags’ and ‘watery’ eyes. He is well versed in diagnosing general visual problems such as sudden drop in vision or double vision.

His ophthalmology career started in 1991 at St Paul’s Eye Hospital (Liverpool) and progressed to registrar and senior registrar training at the Birmingham and Midland Eye Hospital (Birmingham). He spent some time training in Brisbane before returning to England as a fellow in Oculoplastics at the Bristol Eye Hospital (Bristol).
