Dr Coxon is a GP partner at the Beaconsfield Medical Practice in Brighton. He has previously pursued a urological career, mainly based around St. Georges’ hospital in London, including acquiring his MD degree through some prostate cancer research.
He also worked in a team researching treatments for erectile dysfunction. He has maintained his interest in sexual medicine and mens health (especially prostate disease). He has spoken regularly for the charity Prostate Cancer UK at primary care masterclasses around the country and also given presentations on aspects of sexual medicine and prostate disease at various other events across the UK.
He has completed the European Society of Sexual Medicine’s comprehensive training in Sexual Medicine and has acquired his Fellowship of the European Committee of Sexual Medicine (FECSM) qualification. Both of these will stand him in good stead to continue to address issues of sexual function in men and women. The range of problems seen include erectile dysfunction and premature ejaculation, issues of libido, pain during sex, and many others.
Dr Coxon is a Trustee for the Sexual Advice Association and Secretary for the Primary Care Urology Society. He sits on the committee of the British Society of Sexual Medicine and the Editorial Board of Trends in Urology and Mens’ Health.
