Dr Helen Catterick

Dr Catterick is currently not accepting any new patients. The closest Nuffield Hospital to offer a private GP is Taunton.

Dr Catterick grew up in the Exeter area before studying medicine at the University of Leicester. After graduating in 2001 she worked in the East Midlands and began her specialist training to be a GP as part of the Kettering Vocational Training Scheme. In 2006 she moved back to Exeter to complete her GP training.

Dr Catterick has worked as a GP in practices in Exeter and East Devon for the past 15 years, alongside work at the East Devon Stroke Unit and Devon Doctors out of hours service. In 2019 she took up her current NHS post in a Mid Devon GP surgery. Dr Catterick also has an interest in medical education and works at The University of Exeter Medical School where she is involved with the training of student doctors.

She has lots of experience in all areas of general practice but has a particular interest in mental health, elderly care and women’s health. Dr Catterick enjoys the variety of work of general practice and is keen to give her patients the time they need.
