About
Having completed his Senior House Officer Jobs in Birmingham, He joined the prestigious Stoke/Oswestry Orthopaedic training programme and attained the FRCS Tr & Orth exams in 2013. His Spinal surgical jobs during this time were undertaken in Stoke, Oswestry and Alder Hey Hospitals. He then went onto fellowship level training at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital and Birmingham Children's Hospital before he started his Consultant post at the Royal Stoke University Hospital in 2015.
His practice is purely spinal in nature and he specialises in all aspects of spinal surgery, in the NHS trust, This involves both paediatric and adult deformity correction surgery, complex revision surgery, spinal trauma and spinal tumours. He also performs degenerative spinal surgery including decompression surgery in the neck, thoracic and lumbar spine. In the Private sector, he performs spinal injections, lumbar and cervical discectomy, decompression and fusion procedures.
He tries whenever possible to explore non-operative treatment modalities and he does believe that lifestyle changes, dietary changes and exercise all play an important part in this field.
he has all has a special interest in exercise therapy for back pained individuals.
