Mr Standley is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, practicing in Nuffield Health Exeter Hospital and the Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust.
Mr Standley is a Specialist Hand Surgeon in both the NHS and private sector having trained as a Hand Fellow in North Shore Hospital, Sidney and Wrightington Hospital, UK. He has worked exclusively as a hand surgeon since 2003.
Specialist techniques include minimally invasive (key hole) surgery for a range of conditions, joint replacements for the hand and elbow. Pain-relieving treatment is often available during first appointment. Mr Standley works with a team of nerve specialists, radiologists, splint technicians and physiotherapists to get you treated and back to activity quickly.
His sub-specialities include: Hand Surgery, all conditions seen - such as the nerve symptoms of Carpal Tunnel syndrome, arthritis of the hand, wrist and elbow, sports injuries and non-specific arm problems. All injuries to the arm are also seen and assessed.

Mr Standley has published and lectured widely in both hand surgery and military surgery. He enjoys teaching hand surgery both locally and nationally. He also lectures on aspects of Sports Medicine.
