How to book

- Enter your location for the nearest hospital that offers that procedure.
- You’ll need a referral from a medical professional before you can book. Once you have one, email it to your chosen hospital’s radiology department and they’ll be in touch to book your appointment and confirm the price. You can find their email on the hospital’s page in the contact information section.

Capsule endoscopy of the small bowel

Colonoscopy
A colonoscopy is a procedure that uses a thin, flexible tube with a camera to examine the inner lining of the whole large bowel, including the rectum and colon. Flexible Sigmoidoscopy at The Holly Hospital
A flexible sigmoidoscopy is a minimally invasive procedure that uses a thin, flexible tube with a light and camera to examine the lining of the rectum and the lower part of the colon, sending live images to a screen. Histopathology
Histopathology is the study of diseased tissue, using a microscope, to help diagnose your condition. A doctor called a histopathologist examines a sample of tissue, usually taken during a biopsy or an operation, and writes a report describing what they find.

Liver biopsy

Mole assessment
