Mr Jonas is a Consultant Otolaryngologist (ENT Surgeon) at Addenbrookes’s Hospital, Cambridge University Hospital NHS Trust. He completed his postgraduate specialist ENT training at Groote Schuur Hospital, Cape Town South Africa in 2007 and underwent further sub-specialty training in Ireland, New Zealand and the United Kingdom.
His sub-specialty training included working as a Senior Registrar at Beaumont Hospital, Dublin, Ireland and Paediatric ENT Fellowships at Starship Children's Hospital, Auckland, New Zealand and Great Ormond Street Hospital for sick children in London.
Following on from his sub-specialty training he worked as a consultant at Great Ormond Street Hospital and at Guys and St Thomas’ Hospital prior to starting at Addenbrooke’s Hospital.
His comprehensive training enables him to provide high quality care for all aspects of ENT disease in adults and children. At Addenbrooke’s Hospital, a large part of his work includes dealing with and performing complex Paediatric ENT Surgery.
Dr Theofilos Polychronakis is a Consultant in Paediatric Respiratory Medicine in Addenbrooke’s University Hospital in Cambridge. He trained at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in Greece before moving to London in 2009. He completed a MSc in Allergy at Imperial College and trained in paediatrics in various London hospitals and has more than 10 years of clinical experience. He undertook sub-speciality training in paediatric respiratory medicine at the Royal Brompton Hospital and in Cambridge.
He trained in paediatric sleep medicine and long term ventilation as a senior fellow at Great Ormond street Hospital. Dr Polychronakis holds the paediatric HERMES diploma awarded by the European Respiratory Society. His clinical interests include paediatric sleep medicine, asthma, recurrent respiratory infections . He leads the Paediatric Sleep service in CUH and is a member of the asthma, Cystic Fibrosis and scoliosis MDT.
