What equipment do you have?
We have a large selection of the latest cardio machines, free weights and resistance training equipment.
Is the gym air-conditioned?
Yes, our gym floor and class studios are fully air-conditioned.
I’ve never done an exercise class before. Will the instructor help me?
Rest assured, you’re in safe hands with our experienced instructors. We recommend arriving 5 minutes early. Before the start of the class, the instructor will take a register.
How big are your classes?
The maximum capacity for classes will vary depending on the type of class and if equipment is required. Take a look at the wide range of classes we offer and try one out.
Will somebody show me how to use the equipment?
Yes, one of our expert Wellbeing Trainers will give you a full induction of the gym. This includes a personalised exercise programme to help you get the most out of your membership. They can also recommend any classes that might be suitable alongside your programme.
What does my gym membership include?
Your Nuffield Health membership includes:
- Access to over 70 weekly exercise classes
- Use of our 20 metre heated swimming pool

Do I need to pay for a locker?
Yes, the lockers take a £1 coin which is returned to you at the end of your use.
What changing facilities do you have?
We have spacious male and female changing rooms with large lockers, changing cubicles, private showers with complimentary products, and hairdryers.
How busy does the gym get?
Our busy and quiet periods are:
Busiest: 17:30 – 19:30 (Monday-Friday)
Busy: Before 09:00
Quiet: 11:00 – 16:00
Do I need to book classes in advance?
No, you do not need to pre-book any classes. You just need to arrive 15 minutes before the class begins to collect your token.
Is the pool heated?
Yes, the pool is kept at a comfortable temperature of 29 degrees.
Are children allowed to swim?
All facilities including the pool are for those aged 16 and over only.
Do you have a sauna or steam room?Yes, we have a poolside sauna and steam room.
What should I bring?
You’ll need your membership card to enter the club. We recommend wearing light and comfortable clothing. Please bring a £1 coin (returned after use) if you need to use a locker. Please bring a bottle of water. You can fill up at one of our water fountains in the gym.
Can I freeze my membership?
If you’re ill, injured, pregnant or made redundant, you can freeze your membership at any time. We also have student freeze options available. Further terms and conditions regarding freezing or cancelling your membership can be found here.
