Swim England swimming instructors teach all lessons at Nuffield Health in Birmingham

Our popular 'Swim England Learn to Swim' programme at Nuffield Health in Birmingham follows Swim England standards.

Whether you're an adult wanting to improve your stroke technique, or you want your child to develop water confidence, our friendly and experienced instructors can help.

Lessons are available to both our gym members and non-members.

Adult swimming lessons

At Nuffield Health we believe you are never too old to learn to swim. We offer a range of lesson options for all abilities.

Private lessons

  • Whether you're a complete beginner or want to improve your stroke, we offer 1-2-1 lessons during our opening hours
  • Your instructor can tailor lessons to your ability and goals, teaching front crawl, back stroke, breast stroke or butterfly
  • Simply let us know when you would like to book a lesson and we will find a suitable time for you
  • Our heated indoor swimming pool is 20m

Group courses - 6 x 45-minute classes

Adult Beginners - Thursday 18:30 - 19:15

Aimed at complete beginners, this course is specifically designed to help conquer your fears of water whilst developing strokes and stamina on both your back and front. We're proud to have a 100% success rate and our friendly instructors will make sure you're comfortable and safe.

Advanced Beginners - Tuesday 18:30-19:15

This class is aimed at those that can swim (roughly a length) and would like to improve further on their skills. The course covers front crawl, backstroke and breaststroke.  As well as stroke development it helps further develop your water confidence and aqua fitness.

Prices

  • 1 x 30-minute lesson: £25 - members/non-members
  • 5 x 30-minute lessons: £100 - members/non-members
  • 12 x 30-minute lessons: £225 - members/non-members
  • Group Course: £68 - members, £78 - non-members

Children's swimming lessons

We offer a variety of lesson options for kids, whatever their age or ability.

  • Extensive class programme - please download our timetable
  • 30-minute classes
  • Maximum of 6 children per class
  • Grouped by ability, not age
  • Classes cover all abilities from Parent and Toddler to Swim Squad
  • Swimming badges/certificates included in fees
  • We  also offer 1-2-1 lessons at various times throughout the day

Prices:

  • 1 x 30-minute lesson: £25 - members/non-members
  • 5 x 30-minute lessons: £100 - members/non-members
  • 12 x 30-minute lessons: £225 - members/non-members
  • Group lessons: Winter/Spring 2017 x 12 weeks - £93 - members, £129 - non-members

Parents are welcome to relax in our lounge area while your child swims.
