Latest health advice

As the UK’s largest healthcare charity, it's our duty of care to ensure that we take every precaution to keep our patients, members and employees safe during this time.

Following the new advice published on 18 May 2020 from Public Health England and Health Protection Scotland, please be advised that you should not enter any of our sites if you have the following symptoms:

  • a new continuous cough
  • a fever or high temperature
  • a loss of, or change in, your normal sense of taste or smell (anosmia).

The guidance advises you to stay at home (self-isolate), regardless of travel history or contact with confirmed cases, if you have the above symptoms. Public Health England government guidance can be found here. Health Protection Scotland government guidance can be found here.

Ensuring we treat who we can, as quickly as we can, safely

We are committed to reducing the time people have to wait to be seen, but acknowledge that it’s taking longer than it was before the COVID-19 pandemic hit.

To ensure we help as many people as possible, as quickly as possible, we’re extending hospital opening hours and, where we can, increasing the size of our teams, while ensuring that COVID-19 safety measures are strictly adhered to.

Building a healthier nation at home

Our online hub provides you with everything you need to keep fit, healthy and happy while you’re staying at home, from workout videos to emotional wellbeing advice. Find out more here.

Ask a question

We are experiencing a large number of enquiries so may take longer than normal to get back to you. If you are enquiring about our gyms reopening, please check the FAQs to see if they can answer your question. If your question is site specific, the sites will be able to help nearer to opening.
