About
Prof. Singhal is a Senior Orthopaedic Consultant specialising in Hip and Knee replacement surgery for the last 25 years. He has a high volume practise in joint replacements and uses the highest rated implants along with Enhanced Recovery and Consent techniques which he has pioneered.
These techniques help with a quicker recovery and mobilisation and cut down the blood transfusion rate to near zero.
He also deals with keyhole surgery of the knee for torn cartilages and impingement.
His other surgical specialisms include office surgery for carpal tunnel syndrome and other hand problems enabling consultation and surgery to be carried out in the same sitting.
He is a Fellow of the Learned Society of Wales and a member of the GMC UK Advisory Forum, and an executive Board Member of the Welsh medical committee

Prof Singhal has done pioneering work on the biomechanics of the hip with photostress and finite element analysis modelling which led to the development of a patented KS alignment device for use with hip resurfacing procedures and improved the understanding of stresses on hips following joint replacements.
He has published articles on Enhanced recovery techniques and reducing blood transfusion requirement to near zero following these techniques.
