About
Mr David Hinsley is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon who specialises in foot and ankle surgery, soft tissue knee surgery, and post-trauma reconstruction. He also has interests in arthroscopy, sports injuries and medico-legal work. He undertakes private practice in Plymouth and Farnham, Surrey.
Mr Hinsley gained his medical qualification from the University of Leicester in 1993 before joining the army as a medical officer. He undertook his basic surgical training in Wessex and has served in Bosnia, Northern Ireland, Iraq, Afghanistan, and Sierra Leone. He then undertook orthopaedic training and fellowships in foot and ankle and limb reconstruction surgery at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre and the Hospital for Special Surgery (USA). He obtained his Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2006.
