Swimming Lessons at Shipley Fitness & Wellbeing Gym

Shipley Fitness & Wellbeing Gym follows the 'Swim England Learn To Swim' programme

Here at Nuffield Health Fitness & Wellbeing Gym in Shipley we run a very established and well-organised swim school led by Swim England-qualified instructors.

Whether you are an absolute beginner in the water, or you have some ability but want to further improve, young or old, we can help you reach your swimming goals.

Lessons are available to gym members and non-members.

Adult swimming lessons

At Nuffield Health, we believe you are never too old to learn.

• Whether you're a complete beginner or want to improve your stroke, we offer 1-2-1 lessons during our opening hours
• Your instructor can tailor lessons to your ability and goals, teaching front crawl, back stroke, breast stroke or butterfly
• Simply let us know when you would like to book a lesson and we will find a suitable time for you
• Group class every Wednesday at 18:00 - suitable for improvers/intermediate
• Maximum of 6 swimmers per group class
• Our heated indoor swimming pool is 25m

Prices:

• 1 x 30-minute lesson: £16 - members/non-members
• 1 x 30-minute group lesson: £8.50 - members, £9 - non-members

Children's swimming lessons

We run an extensive group lesson programme available to children aged 2+.

Group lesson times:

• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday: 15:00 - 17:00
• Wednesday: 11:00 - 11:30 (2 - 4 years) & 15:00 - 17:30
• Wednesday: 17:30 being a Junior Triathlon swim session
• Saturday and Sunday: 12:00 - 16:00
• Sunday 13:00 - Parent and toddler class

We also offer private 1-2-1 lessons and 2-2-1 (if your child would like to learn with a sibling or friend) lessons throughout the week.

Prices:

• 1 x 30-minute lesson: £16 - members/non-members
• 1 x 30-minute group lesson: £8.50 - members, £9 - non-members

Parents are welcome to relax in our gym cafe while your child swims.
