How can I help you improve your health?

Following completion of my PhD in Psychology and a 5-year career in investment banking, I am now passionate about my role as a Personal Trainer. I love to use and apply my varied life experience to work collaboratively with clients of all backgrounds. My personal interest is in resistance based training for shape, strength and health. I firmly believe that this approach to achieving results personally and for my clients is the most manageable, beneficial and maintainable.

It is important for me to be totally transparent with clients and I spend time to educate them on the importance of factors outside of the gym such as daily activity and nutrition, helping them to build healthy habits. Once we have these under control it is much more attainable to then see real, impactful results in the gym.

I have also completed additional Nutritional certification with the Royal Society for Public Health as well as currently studying Strength and Conditioning at an advanced Level 4.

  • Making training fun – My job as your PT is to bring scientifically informed practices together with what you actually enjoy, to create a programme that works because you look forward to doing it.
  • Help you reach your athletic potential - You don’t have to be an athlete to be athletic. Training shouldn’t just prevent poor health, it should excel your strength, speed, power and endurance. As your PT, I’ll help you safely develop these qualities.

I am an apprentice personal trainer currently completing my Level 3 Personal Training qualification with Nuffield Health. I really enjoy anything fitness related. I am very enthusiastic about helping people improve themselves and their fitness.

During the Corona Virus pandemic while the gyms were closed I started to run my own fitness sessions and resistance sessions outdoor for my friends and family. This was something which I really enjoyed doing and I have continued these sessions within the gym environment. They have seen brilliant progress in their fitness and health since they began training with me. This is one of the many reasons which inspired me to follow my passion for fitness and to become a personal trainer.

Since playing and taking part in sport from a young age Harriet recognised the positive impact that being active can have on people's physical and mental wellbeing. Since then she has always been involved in the fitness industry and it became her goal to become a personal trainer.  

In her role as a wellbeing personal trainer, Harriet passionately aims to encourage and support her clients towards their own individual achievements, be it reaching a new goal or mastering a new skill. I am an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual who understands the importance of assessing clients as individuals, focusing on their personal requirements and goals when designing tailor-made fitness programs. I believe that education is just as important as participation and applies this belief to my training methods. To achieve your goal, you must first be able to understand it. I am constantly trying, testing and researching new training and nutrition modalities…but know the old originals are sometimes the best!

I have trained a diverse range of clients, helping them to achieve their full potential through educating, empowering and supporting them through their personal fitness and health journey. I strive to make sure my sessions are interesting and challenging. My main goal is that each client leaves feeling motivated, energized and with a sense of accomplishment.

It is my passion for sports which inevitably led me into the fitness industry. I have played sports from a young age playing county-level football, badminton and tennis. Playing sports at a high level has given me the understanding and knowledge of what it takes to dedicate yourself to hitting the goals that you want to achieve.
