Nuffield Health appoints Elizabeth Robb OBE to its Board

Nuffield Health, the UK’s largest healthcare charity, has announced Elizabeth Robb OBE has joined its Board of Governors with effect from the start of October 2022.

Elizabeth spent most of her clinical career as a Nurse and Midwife in the NHS. For more than 17 years she was Director of Nursing and Deputy Chief Executive in two NHS Trusts both in Somerset and London, including a period as Acting CEO.

Subsequently she was CEO of the Florence Nightingale Foundation for 7 years, where she drove an emphasis on improving health, clinical outcomes and patient experience through building nursing and midwifery research and leadership capacity and capability.

As well as sitting on the Board of Governors, Elizabeth will also sit on our Quality and Safety Committee.

Dr Natalie-Jane Macdonald, our Chair, said:

“Nuffield Health employs more than 2,000 nursing staff, who are critical in the delivery of the Charity’s ambitions and purpose. I am delighted to welcome Elizabeth to the Board, whose extensive background in both nursing and clinical leadership positions will be invaluable to the Charity, as we continue to maintain high-standards and drive improvement across our clinical services.”

“With people across the UK facing the cost-of-living crisis and widespread economic uncertainty, our purpose to build a healthier nation is as important as ever. Elizabeth’s experience and leadership on the Board will help to deliver on our purpose.”
