Your initial 45-minute appointment involves an assessment and treatment. We assess your pain and symptoms to determine the cause of these symptoms, then recommend a treatment plan for you and begin this treatment. Follow-up appointments are 30 minutes. Your physiotherapist will advise how many appointments you will need but you can stop treatment at any time.

What is Physiotherapy?

Physiotherapy is a profession whose aim is to encourage and support the return to normal following illness, surgery, disease or trauma. It can be effective in the treatment of a range of muscle, joint and nerve conditions.

Physiotherapists at Nuffield Health Liverpool Fitness & Welling Gym use a wide range of techniques such as manual therapy and exercise prescription to maintain health for people of all ages, helping patients to manage pain and prevent disease.

Our Physiotherapy team are all experienced clinicians, members of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and are registered with the Health Professions Council. So you can relax in the knowledge you're in the hands of the experts.

We can offer expertise in upper limb and hand rehabilitation, pain management programmes, headache management, lower limb and spinal rehabilitation, and post-surgical recovery.

Many of our therapists are also trained in clinical pilates which is available:

How can I help you improve your health?

I am a Physiotherapist and have worked mainly in private healthcare for 10 years, and have held a number of senior/lead positions prior to working at Nuffield Health. I have particular skills in assessing and managing complex conditions, where patients may have many different types of problems as well as their pain or injury. I am particularly skilled in helping people with long-term pain, or conditions they have tried without success to resolve in the past. I am from an athletic background and have always treated runners and sports people of all levels as well and particularly have interest in back pain, foot problems, hypermobility, headaches and neck pain. I teach ‘Clinical Pilates’ classes and run ‘Water Based Physiotherapy’ sessions.

How can I help you improve your health?

I am a Physiotherapist from Ireland. I have multiple years experience across NHS and private Physiotherapy. I have specialised in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy with a special interest in sports related rehabilitation. I have recently returned to working for Nuffield in Liverpool after a year at home working for the NHS. 

In treatment I tend to focus on a manual therapy and exercise-based rehabilitation approach. I have experience in teaching Clinical Pilates and am APPI accredited. I have also worked with multiple sports teams, mainly Gaelic football and Irish league.
