Your initial 45-minute appointment involves an assessment and treatment. We assess your pain and symptoms to determine the cause of these symptoms, then recommend a treatment plan for you and begin this treatment. Follow-up appointments are 30 minutes. Your physiotherapist will advise how many appointments you will need but you can stop treatment at any time.

We have strong links with many orthopaedic consultants and have an excellent track record in the rehabilitation of upper and lower limb sports injuries. In addition, we can offer pre and post natal treatment and advice as well as vertigo and balance rehabilitation with our vestibular specialist.

How can I help you improve your health?

Pauline spent the first five years following graduation working within the NHS. She then spent 12 years with Nuffield Health, Leeds Hospital working with orthopaedic surgeons and sports physicians.

She has extensive knowledge of orthopaedic surgical procedures and post-operative rehabilitation. Pauline also spent three years working in semi-professional football.

This exposed her to the management of sports injuries. She joined Guiseley Fitness and Wellbeing Centre in 2014. Where she developed an interest in the management of shoulder pain.

Pauline is keen to remain up to date with current research and thinking so that she can discuss the best treatment options available for your problem.

How can I help you improve your health?

Bethan qualified as a Physiotherapist in 2009 and spent 3.5 years in the NHS before starting work with us at Nuffield Health.

She prides herself  in being able to help her clients avoid injuries as well as helping them to rehabilitate from existing injuries. She achieves this by assessing muscle imbalances and postural weaknesses. Her treatments include hands on manual therapy and exercise therapy.

Bethan has a genuine passion for physiotherapy and her specialist interests include sports injuries, pilates and acupuncture.

How can I help you improve your health?

Since qualifying as a Physiotherapist in 2012, Suzanne spent four years working within the NHS, gaining invaluable experience within a broad range of specialties including Musculoskeletal, Neurological, Respiratory and Orthopaedic conditions. This has enabled her to carry out and deliver a detailed and holistic assessment and treatment plan that is specific to each of my patients and their individual needs.

In addition to this, she also works within a private practice in Halifax specialising in Musculoskeletal conditions that can be either work or sport related.

Suzanne endeavours to help people achieve their personal goals, whether it be returning to work, a specific sport or getting back into their favourite hobby! She has also worked with Halifax Rugby Union for the past two years as Head Physiotherapist, building a keen interest in rehabilitating players from acute and long term injury and getting them match fit, along with providing essential injury prevention advice and techniques.

At the beginning of your first appointment Suzanne will discuss what you are expecting, your individual goals and how physiotherapy may help you achieve these. She will work closely with you and review your progress at each follow up appointment.

Nicky Townsley

How can I help you improve your health?

Following a professional dance career, including experience within the dance science field, Nicky graduated as a Physiotherapist from the University of Bradford in 2011. She began her career in the NHS as a rotational Physiotherapist gaining knowledge and experience in a wide variety of specialities. Nicky joined Nuffield Health in 2016 as a Senior Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist treating outpatients in Cottingley and Guiseley Fitness and Wellbeing Centres and it was during this time that Nicky embarked on increasing her knowledge and skills within the Women’s Health Physiotherapy specialty.  

Having returned from maternity leave, Nicky has now joined the Women’s Health Physiotherapy team at the Nuffield Health Hospital Leeds and currently has her own caseload of patients treating a variety of pelvic health conditions. Nicky is qualified in clinical yoga which can be incorporated into her bespoke treatment plans.
