Childcare Vouchers
Nuffield Health’s Childcare Voucher scheme is now closed to new applicants. If you pay for registered childcare, you may be eligible to apply to the government’s Tax-Free Childcare scheme to save money on your childcare costs.
If you are currently participating in the scheme, we would like to remind you that you have the option to reduce your vouchers, or stop them completely (provided that you reactivate them within 12 months, if you wish to remain in the scheme after this time). You can do this online by logging into your Sodexo account.
Childcare vouchers have changed
You may be aware that the government’s new Tax-Free Childcare scheme was fully implemented from 4th October 2018. This scheme is administered by HMRC and has replaced the previous Childcare Voucher scheme managed by Sodexo. This means the Childcare Voucher scheme is now closed to new applicants.
Parents who are already in the Childcare Voucher scheme can choose to remain in it until they no longer require vouchers, their children reach the maximum age of 15, or they change employers. Alternatively, they can move to Tax-Free Childcare, but they will not be able to be in both schemes at the same time nor will they be able to re-join the Childcare Voucher scheme should they decide to transfer over.
