Our care is consultant-led in conjunction with the oncology team and may include one or more of the following:

  • Surgery
  • Chemotherapy
  • Hormone therapy
  • Immunotherapy
  • Biological/targeted therapy
  • Radiotherapy*

*These treatments will be arranged by your consultant at St Bartholomew’s NHS Trust, via a private patient package.

After your initial consultation, you will be offered a pre-treatment appointment. This is an opportunity to meet the nursing staff, view our facilities and ask any questions you may have.

Thanks to our wider Nuffield Health network of professionals, we can provide you with pre-habilitation, emotional wellbeing support and a tailored rehabilitation program to live with cancer.

Cancer rehabilitation at Nuffield Health at St Bartholomew’s Hospital

All patients accessing our cancer services are encouraged to take part in a 12-week cancer rehabilitation programme held at the nearby Barbican Fitness and Wellbeing Centre.

It is well-known that being physically active before, during and after treatment helps to reduce side-effects, improves physical fitness, and leads to a better quality of life. All our specialist physiotherapists and fitness professionals have had specific training in cancer rehabilitation, so you will be in safe hands.

You will be supported in personalised goal setting to ensure you are able to achieve the physiological changes that are most important to you.
