As a personal trainer I like to work with you to create a comprehensive, achievable plan to help you reach your health and fitness goals. I strive to make my session’s fun, engaging and challenging whilst still ensuring correct technique to give you the best results.

My holistic approach to training incorporates learning and mastering new movements that can stimulate connections between the brain and body. Sessions with me include a variety of practices such as weight training, yoga, boxing and gymnastics that will make you stronger, fitter and more mobile whilst learning new skills. My goal is to help you associate training with having fun and hitting your fitness goals and the body composition improvements you will also achieve will be a welcome bonus.

Adam's coaching experience spans a variety of sports including canoeing and Olympic Handball.  He has run exercise classes for arthritis sufferers and those with disabilities.  After performing an in depth consultation with you, Adam might use functional training, sport psychology, strength and conditioning techniques, or any combination of his wide range of skills adapted to your needs, to help you achieve your goals.

How can I help you improve your health?

Fitness has always been a big part of my life, there is no better feeling for me than helping someone reach their goals, anything from dropping a dress size to running an ironman, I feel my background in athletics and football help me gauge the best programme for each individual’s needs.

I really enjoy the two extremes of exercise, I enjoy using weights for strength and/or weight loss; circuit training is something I find the best to help gain cardiovascular fitness and toning.

I am a Senior Trainer at Nuffield Health and have worked in England and New Zealand as a Personal Trainer/Strength Coach for 6 years, training both professional athletes and the general public. My MSc in Sports and Exercise Biomechanics has given me an incredible depth of knowledge and a unique approach with my clients. As well as having expertise in injury rehabilitation from ACL reconstruction to hip replacements, I have a great deal of experience with diseases such as osteoporosis and osteoarthritis. All of which has allowed me to alleviate chronic back pain through precise training and soft tissue release/massage. Being a former semi-professional rugby union player myself, a great focus of my training and experience is spent dealing with strength, hypertrophy (muscle gain), speed and fitness drills. I’m also a Olympic Lifting Coach

I will combine full-body strength training with high intensity workouts to help decrease overall body fat whilst increasing lean muscle mass. My aim is to educate and provide my clients with the confidence and self-belief to enjoy having a healthy lifestyle.
