What services do we provide?
Hospital-based physiotherapy
Our inpatient service supports individuals in restoring movement and function following surgery.
Hospital-based physiotherapy is integral to post-operative recovery and rehabilitation. Physiotherapists focus on improving mobility, strength, balance, and coordination, while also managing pain and associated symptoms.
The objective is to help patients regain independence in daily activities—such as walking, transferring in and out of bed, and self-care.
Patients and their families receive education and advice regarding posture, exercise, and strategies to support recovery and prevent reoccurrence.
Pre-habilitation class
Designed for patients awaiting lower-limb joint replacement, these classes aim to optimise fitness before surgery, leading to better outcomes and accelerated recovery. Delivered in partnership with our wider healthcare team, we tailor a comprehensive, personalised plan for each patient.
Rehabilitation gym
Our gym caters to all mobility levels, offering advanced equipment to enhance strength training, cardiovascular fitness, and functional recovery.
Recovery from surgery, injury, or chronic conditions is achieved through individually tailored rehabilitation programmes developed by our HCPC-registered physiotherapists.
Knee rehabilitation classes
These structured group sessions are tailored to patients recovering from knee surgery (e.g. total knee replacement).
Combining expert guidance, peer support, and educational elements, they aim to enhance mobility, reduce pain, and accelerate recovery in a supportive environment.
Acupuncture services
Part of our comprehensive approach to pain management and healing, acupuncture is administered by an AACP-registered practitioner.
Used to alleviate musculoskeletal pain, reduce inflammation, and support overall recovery, acupuncture is integrated into broader physiotherapy plans for improved outcomes.
Hand therapy
Our Hand Therapy clinic provides expert rehabilitation for post-operative or injury-related conditions affecting hands and wrists.
Individualised plans include splinting, scar management, sensory re-education, and strengthening to restore dexterity and function.
Aqua therapy
Delivered in a water-based setting, this therapy reduces joint stress while improving strength, flexibility, and coordination. Especially beneficial for conditions such as arthritis, post-operative joint replacements, or chronic pain, aqua therapy offers a gentle yet effective path to recovery.
The physiotherapy team
Our physiotherapists are registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and our acupuncture services are provided by practitioners registered with the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP).
