Mr Majid is a Consultant Ophthalmologist at Bristol Eye Hospital. He undertook his training in Bristol, Taunton and Liverpool. He was awarded a PhD from the University of Bristol for his research on macular degeneration and subsequently completed Advanced Fellowships in Ocular Plastic Surgery, Surgical Retina including Complex Cataract Surgery and Medical Retina with Uveitis.

His subspecialty interests include Cataract and Management of Complications of Cataract Surgery, Medical and Surgical Retina and Ocular Inflammatory Diseases.

Mr Majid was the first in the Southwest to offer the latest Swept Source retinal scanning, giving the most amazing detail of the retina available today. This allows better and more accurate diagnosis of your retinal problem. He was also the first to use the latest micro incision 27 Gauge Micro retinal surgery platform, which gives the quickest healing times with minimal disruption compared to any other retinal surgery system.

Mr Majid is able to treat the following conditions: cataract surgery, detached retina, macular degeneration, macular holes, diabetes and macular diseases, diabetic eye disease, orbital disease, failing vision, glaucoma, loss of visioneyelid cyst removal

Mr Majid also offers treatments for the following: Lacrimal disorders, eye bags and floaters.
