Failing vision

There are many eye conditions that may cause impaired vision or loss of vision. Vision loss may occur suddenly or gradually over time.

Even if you don’t need glasses, regular eye tests can detect early symptoms of an eye condition. Our experienced Consultant Ophthalmologists can diagnose and treat vision problems in a hospital near you.

Fluorescein angiography is a test to measure the flow of blood in the back of your eye.

Anterior segment

The front part of your eye including your iris (coloured part of your eye), cornea and lens are called the anterior segment.

Cataract Surgery

This operation treats cataracts by removing and replacing the lens of your eye.

Excimer laser treatment

Laser eye surgery is a form of treatment for short-sight, long-sight and astigmatism (blurred vision due to an irregularly shaped cornea) by reshaping the cornea using a laser.

If conservative methods to treat lacrimal disorder are not successful, a consultant may recommend surgery.
