Mr Jonathan Ward

Jonathan graduated from Imperial College London and completed his training through the Birmingham Orthopaedic Training Programme based at the renowned Royal Orthopaedic Hospital.
After completing his orthopaedic training, Jonathan remained as a fellow at Birmingham's Royal Orthopaedic Hospital, working alongside pioneering experts in hip and knee joint reconstruction.  He also spent a year as the Pelvic & Acetabular and Complex Arthroplasty Fellow at the Royal London Hospital.

This advanced training broadened his expertise and his ability to deal with the crossover between joint reconstruction for arthritis and trauma as well as the challenges relating to fragility fractures and fractures around previous implants. Jonathan has a particular interest in complex trauma and reconstruction involving the pelvis, hip and knee and lower limb fragility fractures. He has a keen interest in education and training and is a regular faculty member with Orthopaedic Research UK and the QMUL Trauma Sciences programme.

With over a decade of experience in clinical research, Jonathan’s academic work has largely focused on hip reconstruction and the treatment of fractures involving the pelvis and hip socket.

Jonathan was born and raised in London, where he currently resides with his young family. He is a keen rugby and motorsports fan, and can often be seen being taken for a walk by his two large dogs!
