About

Jeremy Hurren is a consultant plastic surgeon with special interests in both cosmetic and oncoplastic surgery. Mr Hurren trained in Plastic Surgery in Salisbury, Cambridge, Norwich and London. On completing his training he was surgical fellow for six months at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London and then at the Institute Curie in Paris. He has also visited a number of leading American Centres and Specialists.

Mr Hurren has now retired from his NHS Practice. However, he has 25 years of experience as a Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon at Queen Alexandra Hospital Portsmouth NHS Trust specialising in Cancer surgery for the Breast and skin.

Mr Hurren has extensive experience from his previous NHS career, where he worked in both plastic and reconstructive surgery and breast surgery. He was part of a multidisciplinary breast unit, carrying out diagnostic assessment and breast cancer surgery, alongside reconstructive procedures and skin cancer surgery.

He retired from NHS practice in 2023 and now focuses on elective and private patient care.

Training and qualifications

Mr Hurren trained in London and completed surgical training in Kingston upon Thames, Salisbury and Southampton. He undertook higher specialist training in plastic surgery across leading UK centres including Salisbury, Cambridge, Norwich and London.

He has also completed prestigious fellowships at:

  • The Royal Marsden Hospital, London
  • Institut Curie, Paris

In addition, he has undertaken further specialist training in the United States including Houston, Dallas and Atlanta, gaining experience in modern plastic and reconstructive techniques.

Personal interests

Mr Hurren lives in Hampshire with his wife, Abigail, who manages his surgical practice. They are outnumbered by their animals which include a large Newfoundland dog. He enjoys an active outdoor lifestyle, including skiing, wing-foiling, tennis, golf and padel.
