About
Dr Wilson is a Consultant Physician and Gastroenterologist since 2017 and an endoscopy lead at the Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Barts Health. He qualified with Honors from Leicester and Warwick in 2005.
Dr Wilson trained in specialist Gastroenterology and Hepatology at King's College, St George's, and Guy's & St Thomas’ Hospitals, before completing a period of advanced endoscopy training in Melbourne, Australia.
Dr Wilson structures his clinical consultations around the patient and takes a holistic approach, enabling the patient to get back to full health in a supportive environment. His clinical practice includes the diagnosis and treatment of dyspepsia, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), Barrett's oesophagus, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), hepato-pancreato-biliary disease (HPB), inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), diarrhoea, constipation and bloating.
Special interests
Dr Wilson has a passion for high-quality diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy of the esophagus, stomach, colon and pancreas, particularly with regard to early diagnosis and screening for cancer. He has a keen interest in gut health and gastrointestinal microbiota.
