About

Dr George Goodchild is a Consultant Gastroenterologist and advanced GI Endoscopist. He specialises in all forms of diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy. As a certified bowel cancer screening programme colonoscopist (BCSP), he performs the highest quality colonoscopy for the detection and removal of pre-cancerous bowel polyps. He is expert in diagnosing and treating patients with acid reflux, bloating, changes in bowel habit and rectal bleeding. Additionally, his sub-specialist interest is the detection, diagnosis and endoscopic management of cancers of the pancreas and bile duct as well as complex gallstone disease. He performs advanced endoscopy of the bile duct (ERCP) and pancreas (EUS). Outside of his clinical work he is an honorary clinical lecturer at Queen Mary University where he teaches medical students and trainee doctors and he is also involved in research and has published widely in the fields of gastroenterology and endoscopy.
