Dr Balan has been a Consultant Cardiothoracic Radiologist at St Bartholomew's and the Royal London Hospitals since 2016.She qualified from the Royal Free and University College Medical school.
She completed her radiology sub-specialty cardiothoracic training and fellowship in cardiac CT at Chelsea and Westminster and the Royal Brompton Hospitals. Prior to being appointed to the Barts Health NHS Trust in 2016, she was a Consultant at Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge.
She is a member of the Northeast London (NEL) Targeted Lung Health Check Delivery programme panel, works as an expert cardiothoracic radiologist for the UK Heart&Lung Health team and is currently on the Executive committee of the BSTI (British Society of Thoracic Imaging).
