Dr Antonio Creta is a highly experienced Consultant Cardiologist in London, specialising in cardiac electrophysiology and the treatment of heart rhythm disorders (arrhythmias). He offers expert care for patients experiencing:

World-Class Training & Background

Dr Creta graduated with distinction from Campus Bio-Medico University of Rome and completed advanced specialist training at the Barts Heart Centre, the largest cardiac hospital in Europe, where he now practices.

He is also the Clinical Governance Lead for the department of Cardiac Electrophysiology, helping maintain the highest standards of patient safety and care.

Advanced Cardiac Procedures & Treatments

Dr Creta performs a high volume of advanced cardiac procedures every year, including:

  • Catheter ablation for atrial fibrillation (AF), supraventricular tachycardia (SVT), and other arrhythmias
  • Pacemaker and defibrillator (ICD/CRT-D) implantation
  • Minimally invasive procedures using pulse field ablation and 3D electroanatomical mapping

  • Radiation-free techniques, minimising patient X-ray exposure

He also offers the latest innovations in leadless pacemakers, improving outcomes for suitable patients.

Academic & Research Expertise

In addition to his clinical work, Dr Creta completed a PhD on atrial fibrillation in diabetic patients and holds a Master’s in Health Economics from the London School of Economics (LSE). His research is widely published in peer-reviewed journals and he recently contributed to the European Cardiac Arrhythmia Society (ECAS) guidelines on AF ablation.
