About
He has a traditional approach to his patients, always listening carefully to their symptoms, performing a physical examination, discussing a differential diagnosis, and formulating the best management plan.
Dr Harris was awarded a Doctor of Medicine (MD) by University of London for research on Helicobacter pylori and acid-related diseases.
He spent 10 years working with the British Society of Gastroenterology first as Honorary Secretary to the Society and then Chair of the Clinical Services & Standards Committee to improve training, service delivery and clinical standards in the UK.
He worked as part of the NICE Guidelines development group to produce national guidelines for the management of patients with ulcerative colitis.

Special interests
He has particular interest in seeing patients with heartburn, reflux disease, indigestion, abdominal pain, bloating, diarrhoea, and constipation.
He has extensive experience in the management of individuals with Irritable Bowel Syndrome and was a Medical Advisor for the National IBS Network.
