Your initial 45-minute appointment involves an assessment and treatment. We assess your pain and symptoms to determine the cause of these symptoms, then recommend a treatment plan for you and begin this treatment. Follow-up appointments are 30 minutes. Your physiotherapist will advise how many appointments you will need but you can stop treatment at any time.

We also provide 1-2-1 Pilates instruction, ideally suited to beginners, or patients recovering from injuries.

Patients will receive a thorough consultation with a physiotherapist, which will include your medical history and a physical exam, for us to determine the most appropriate / effective course of treatment.

How can I help you improve your health?

During his training to become a Personal Trainer, John discovered a keen interest in injuries and in 2012 qualified as a Physiotherapist from the University of Salford with a first in his BSc (Hons). He went on to complete an MSc in Advanced Physiotherapy at Salford in 2014, achieving a distinction. John has a passion for sports and gym related injuries and helping and empowering people get back to what they love. As a former CrossFit coach and Pilates Instructor, he employs many of the principles from these disciplines in his treatments. He uses a range of soft tissue techniques as a level 4 qualified Sports Massage Therapist and has extensive skills with Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilisation.

How can I help you improve your health?

Ravi graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Kinesiology from McGill University in Canada. He then received a Master’s degree in Physiotherapy from Oxford Brookes University. Since qualification he has specialised in musculoskeletal physiotherapy. Ravi has worked at the Manor Hospital since August 2016 as an inpatient and outpatient physiotherapist.

He works on the wards treating orthopaedic patients, mainly post op knee, hip, spinal, and shoulder. In outpatients, his main interest is musculoskeletal rehab including but not limited to sports injuries, back pain, post op, and lower limb conditions.

Ravi is a member of the CSP and HCPC and delivers a variety of evidence based treatment such as exercise prescription, manual therapy, taping, and return to activity.

Ravi works in outpatients (including Hand Therapy) and on the wards.

Since qualifying from Brunel University in 2000, Kate completed her Junior Rotations within the Oxford Radcliffe NHS Trust (Neuro ITU, Outpatients, Community, Orthopaedics, Medical and Surgical rotations). She then developed her passion for Orthopaedics and completed her Senior Musculoskeletal Rotations in the NHS at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre (Rheumatology/Sports Injury Clinic, Outpatients/GP clinic, Paediatrics, Bone Infection, Shoulder/Elbow, Foot/Ankle, Hip/Knee rotations). She has also taught Pilates at the Chipping Norton Physiotherapy Clinic and Physio for Women Clinic.

Kate has worked for Nuffield Health since 2008. She previously worked in the Nuffield Triage Service and as the Integrated Clinical Services Manager.

Kate works on the ward and teaches Pilates classes at the Hospital.

How can I help you improve your health?

Having qualified in 2005, Jess spent a year consolidating her undergraduate training working within the hydrotherapy service at the Nuffield Health Orthopaedic Centre, Oxford. She then developed a passion for orthopaedic care and initially specialising in in-patient orthopaedic care before developing an outpatient caseload.

Prior to joining the Manor, Jess was involved in establishing and expanding the physiotherapy clinical service at a local hospital. At the Manor Hospital, she has developed her in-patient knowledge and out-patient skill mix with a particular interest in Chronic Pain management and the use of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. Working closely with various consultants she is keen to expand the delivery of chronic pain and vestibular services.

To compliment her academic interests she has been a voluntary athletics official for the last 20 years, the peak of this was assisting at the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic games. She also provides voluntary classification, technical and therapy support to many wheelchair and ambulant athletes linking with Stoke Mandeville.

Emma is an experienced physiotherapist, having worked primarily over all of the NHS Oxford University Hospital sites, for a number of years gaining experience in most physio settings including orthopaedics, ITU, musculoskeletal out patients, gerontology, Adults with Learning Disabilities and Oncology.

Since joining the team in 2009, Emma works part time on the wards, which includes orthopaedic, spinal, cardiac and gynaecological procedures.

Emma is also an experienced APPI Pilates instructor and has been teaching on-site and privately for a number of years.

Since qualifying from Oxford Brookes University in 2011 with first class honours, Kate has worked within the NHS and private sector (along with a short stint in Kenya), then joined the Nuffield Health team in January 2019. Over this time, Kate has gained experience treating a wide range of musculoskeletal injuries and post-operative conditions. She has also completed post-qualification training in Acupuncture and has completed her APPI Pilates Instructor training and now runs classes on site.

She has a special interest in treating shoulder conditions and being passionate about sports herself (particularly triathlons), she also has a keen interest in sporting injuries and understands the importance of recovering from injury successfully.

Kate works mainly in outpatients and teaches Pilates classes at the Manor Hospital. She is the Recovery Plus link with the Nuffield Gym. She also covers on the ward.
