Gill Du Toit
How can I help you improve your health?
I am a physiotherapist with 18 years’ experience, having qualified from the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa in 2007. I have a broad and versatile skill set, including extensive manual therapy techniques, Pilates, running assessments, and chronic pain management. As a highly active and sporty person, I am able to place strong emphasis on higher-level strength and conditioning—both personally and professionally—to support not only effective recovery but also long-term injury prevention.
I have a strong passion for learning and continual professional development. Over the years, I have pursued a wide range of additional sub-specialisms, driven by my interest in understanding how different parts of the body influence one another. These include hand therapy and women’s pelvic floor health.
I believe that every individual has a unique story, and that therapy is never one-size-fits-all. I aim to assess and treat each person holistically, tailoring my approach to their specific needs, goals, and lifestyle. My work has spanned diverse cultures and environments, from rural Zambia to investment banks in London, enhancing my problem-solving skills and enabling me to be an adaptable and effective therapist in any setting.
Alongside my professional career, I am an international athlete in amateur sports and currently play tag rugby for Great Britain. My mixed team won silver at the most recent World Cup, and I am now aiming to compete at the next World Cup with the women’s team.
