Meet The Team at Chichester

Thelma Henderson, Hospital Director

Thelma began my career in the NHS as a Cardiac Specialist Nurse, before moving into private sector clinical management both here in the UK and abroad. She returned to the UK in 2010 to join Nuffield Health as a Hospital Matron, before taking the unique opportunity to be involved in the planning, development and management of a brand-new hospital. Following four years return to work for Nuffield Health and manage the Nuffield Wessex Hospital and four years later she returned to Chichester as the Hospital Director to manage the Nuffield Chichester Hospital alongside the Nuffield Wessex Hospital.

Thelma says “Having a nursing background has been hugely influential on my career in hospital management, it’s always helped to remain focused on what is most important; first-class patient care and I’m delighted that I have the opportunity to deliver that care as a Hospital Director of both Chichester and Wessex”.

Thelma lives in Hampshire and is married with two children.

Wendy Midgely, Operating Theatre Manager

Fiona Brooks, Radiology Manager

Fiona started her radiology career in South Africa; graduating in 1987. In 2004 she came back to the U.K. to be closer to her family. In December of that year, she started working as a general radiographer for Nuffield Health Chichester Hospital. In 2007 she became the Radiology Manager and has held the post here at Chichester Hospital ever since.

Rachel Baldwin, Senior Customer Services Advisor

Rachel started working for Nuffield Health Chichester Hospital in 1998, firstly in Reception, before becoming Bookings Team Leader. In her new role as Patient Services Lead, she is often people’s first contact with the hospital. Rachel handles all the enquiries at the hospital.
