How can I help you improve your health?

When joining a gym it’s difficult to know what type of workout is best for you to achieve your goals, particularly if you haven’t used a gym before. My focus is always on you, your goals, and making your aspirations for a fitter, healthier, higher quality life a reality.

I am a BSc graduate in Sport and Physical Activity which in turn allows me to assist you in the management of metabolic diseases such as Obesity, High Blood Pressure and Type 2 Diabetes. I also have a proven track record in Weightloss.

So whether you are new to the gym, or not seeing results in your current fitness programme, then please get in touch to discuss how I can help you achieve your goals.

How can I help you improve your health?

Hello, I’m Carrie! I developed my interest in fitness through playing football from a young age, from which I gained a soccer scholarship to play in America. It was there that I was introduced to gym-based training and developed a great interest to further pursue this type of training. Furthering that interest, I gained my level 3 qualification in Personal Training with the want of spreading that passion and knowledge onto others. My passion is to help people change their lives, both physically and mentally, making people feel happy both inside and out!

My friendly, warm and non-intimidating approach is why my clients love working with me, and helps keep them motivated and improving each and every week. I'm here, ready to help and support you all the way to your goals. So if you feel ready to improve your fitness, get support and guidance with your mental and physical wellbeing, I'm here for you.

How can I help you improve your health?

Following completion of my PhD in Psychology and a 5-year career in investment banking, I am now passionate about my role as a Personal Trainer. I love to use and apply my varied life experience to work collaboratively with clients of all backgrounds. My personal interest is in resistance based training for shape, strength and health. I firmly believe that this approach to achieving results personally and for my clients is the most manageable, beneficial and maintainable.

It is important for me to be totally transparent with clients and I spend time to educate them on the importance of factors outside of the gym such as daily activity and nutrition, helping them to build healthy habits. Once we have these under control it is much more attainable to then see real, impactful results in the gym.

I have also completed additional Nutritional certification with the Royal Society for Public Health as well as currently studying Strength and Conditioning at an advanced Level 4.

I have developed my health and fitness knowledge through years of my own training and through working with clients with an array of fitness goals. Over the years one thing that has become more important to me is the need to ensure that my clients are gaining knowledge from our time together so that they are able to continue with their high quality workouts for as long as they continue to exercise. A level 4 strength and conditioning workshop has given me additional insight into the impact that increasing personal performance has on the results that we achieve together as well as on your confidence and quality of life.
