How can I help you improve your health?

My aim is to help people positively improve their health and wellbeing through exercise. I believe any activity is good activity, and has positive implications on both our physical and mental health. Movement is medicine.

Throughout my two years of experience as a PT I have specialised in helping people to lose body fat and gain muscle, whilst still being able to live a life that they can enjoy. If we don't enjoy our lifestyle (exercise & diet) we are far less likely to adhere to it. Therefore, impacting our chance of gaining and then sustaining results. Finding a healthy balance is the key to long term success.

Exercise is my main interest and passion. I love football, the gym and running. So much so I completed the Amsterdam half marathon last year, in aid of the shooting star cancer unit in Wrexham Maelor.

I am always here to help, there is no such thing as a silly question so feel free to ask me anything if you see me around the gym. I will always do my best to help.

How can I help you improve your health?

Training and coaching others has been part of my life for the past 10 years. I have a large variety of knowledge in rowing, swimming, strength training and hypertrophy training.

I am passionate and enthusiastic about fitness and I want to share my knowledge with you. I will assess your strengths and weaknesses and tailor a programme to help you find a new routine that will help you to reach your goals.

How can I help you improve your health?

I am very passionate and highly motivated regarding health and fitness.  After having two children, I decided to improve my own lifestyle, which lead to weight loss, improved strength and overall fitness. 

Having qualified as a Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer, I have the knowledge and enthusiasm to help you achieve your goals.  

Strength is the foundation of my training, but I also incorporates a balance of different types of cardiovascular exercise.  I am adept at helping people understand the many benefits of weight training and become more confident in the gym.

How can I help you improve your health?

I have always had a tremendous passion for sports and exercise. I have a high interest in football and have been playing the game at County and Regional levels since I was 8 years old!  Alongside football, I played at County Level for Cheshire East Hockey.
 
After completing a challenging but rewarding degree in BSc (Hons) Sports and Exercise Therapy – I completed a variety of modules from Peripheral and Spinal Anatomy, Assess the Athlete and Evidence-Based Exercise Rehabilitation.
 
As a Sports and Exercise Therapist, I can provide the prevention, assessment, treatment and exercise rehabilitation for musculoskeletal injuries. I have gained experience alongside my degree in a variety of sports injury clinics and clubs based in Leeds, Manchester and Cheshire.
  
To continue my development I completed a Diploma in Personal Training in order to extend my skills and knowledge in exercise and fitness, enabling me to provide and deliver fun but challenging tailored programmes for each individual to meet their goals.

Sports and exercise have always been an important part of my life but my passion for fitness grew even stronger in my work as a counsellor. Not only have I seen the powerful part exercise plays in my clients’ journey towards healing and recovery, I have also experienced it's transformative impact on my own mental health and total well-being. I engage in strength training regularly not just because it helps me maintain a healthy constitution and optimum functioning; it also gives me joy, energy, and clarity of mind.

Holding dual qualifications in Psychotherapy (Master of Science) and Personal Training (Diploma), I comprehend the importance of holistic well-being.

I have an extensive background in mental health care and my approach gives me the unique ability to go beyond physical fitness to address the mental and emotional aspects of training. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned gym-goer, you can approach me as you are. My empathetic and supportive guidance will help you feel at ease and enjoy the process and my scientific approach will aid you in understanding the rationale behind each exercise.

I will help you uncover factors affecting your motivation, break through plateaus and achieve your goals. I seek to empower you to gain confidence in yourself and equip you towards independence so that, ultimately, you can reach your full potential in body, mind, and spirit.

Rich Kerr

How can I help you improve your health?

With over 30 years of focused and disciplined training, I became a qualified Shaolin Kung Fu teacher. I also became a Great British Grand Champion in Freestyle Kickboxing at Black Belt level.

Once I retired from Kickboxing I joined the army giving me 12 years of experience in the Military and 2 tours of Afghanistan.

After leaving the British Army I became focused on training others as a level 3 Personal Trainer and now specialising as a level 4 Strength and Conditioning Personal Trainer.

My advice is whatever your goals, believe in yourself and never say never.

When our dreams become our goals, they can one day become our reality.

I have over 10 years experience of the fitness industry. My interest was sparked after achieving a personal weight loss of over 15 Stone. I then decided to make Personal Training my career and help others achieve their goals.

Having achieved my goal, I can offer Physical, Nutritional and Lifestyle advice to others. This advice will be personalised to each client with a very specific individualised programme.

My expertise is not just limited to weight loss but I am an experienced sports coach and can offer Sport Specific Training for a number of sports.

Viv MacDonald

How can I help you improve your health?

Viv had a complete career change in her early fifties but has always had a passion for fitness which has resulted in her becoming a Personal Trainer.

Further down the line, Viv developed arthritis and fibromyalgia, finding it difficult to maintain her fitness levels. So with all her knowledge and experience, Viv started creating alternative exercises to help manage her symptoms and maintain her fitness levels as well as help others with similar conditions.

Viv loves being a PT and she finds it rewarding when she sees her clients getting the results they want with her help & guidance. She describes her PT style as being able to understand each individual's needs & guiding them through their fitness journey in a progressive way with lots of support throughout.
