After many years of practising intense meditation in the frigid mountains of Tibet, training with only the most exceptionally gifted monks, I have developed the ability to bend metal with my mind...well maybe not, but at 46 years old with 4 kids and history of back pain, I'm now in the best shape of my life.

At 35 I was stuck behind a desk, an overweight smoker with bad posture and crippling back pain. Then I lost my father to cancer. I wanted to do something different. I starting training like crazy, but with little knowledge of exercise I wrecked my shoulder. Now, depressed and injured, I needed help – I found it in the form of a fantastic PT named Liz who helped me transform my life. She encouraged me to learn as much as I could about my body and exercise, and she gave me the tools, motivation, and support I needed to change my life. I have modelled my style of coaching after her – my goal is to educate, inspire, and empower!

I specialise in resistance training, strength training for women including pre/post-natal, flexibility, core strength, and pad work. Whether it’s getting your first press up, a new lift, or spending an evening learning to dance, I pride myself on my versatility to provide sessions that give you what you need and that you'll look forward to.

Training has transformed me physically and mentally for the better – I don’t know where I would be without it. Because no matter the day, with a barbell in your hand, you’re forced to believe just how much you are capable of, to love and respect and work with your body, and to own everything you do.

After spending 10 years playing professional football in the English League 1 and 2, including clubs like Leyton Orient Dagenham and Redbridge, I had to retire early due to suffering from rheumatoid arthritis.

Now my main passion is training in the gym, what started as a therapy helping me with my illness become a part of my routine and life, helping me feel better in my day to day life and I want to help others feel the same. Keeping fit and training well I managed to change my mindset as well my appearance and I would like to help others achieve the same no matter the circumstances.

I’m a 'human Swiss Army knife' who enjoys helping people both inside and outside of the gym.

My interests are:

  • Football and boxing mainly, but I love all sport
  • Anime – Goku and Gohan were my inspiration for training when growing up but unfortunately I didn’t have a 'Hyperbolic Time Chamber'!
  • Video games – growing up, if I wasn’t in the gym boxing or out playing football I was playing Pokémon. Now it’s all about Call of Duty.

I’ve worked in the fitness industry since 2008 and, with my experience coaching a range of people, from world champion athletes to kids, I’m sure I can help you on your fitness journey.

I started to be passionate about fitness back in 2015, when I decided to totally change my lifestyle. My wake up call was when, after climbing a set of stairs, I found myself out of breath...I was only 27! This episode made me realise that I needed a CHANGE. I then started to take my diet and training more seriously, and best of all, I quit smoking.

Having started as an apprentice here, I was able to learn from all of the PTs – and learnt a lot from them.

After all this time I pride myself on being able to teach a deadlift, for example, to anybody, despite any mobility challenges they face.

When it comes to teaching boxing, I like to teach somebody not just how to throw a punch, but also how to defend themselves and move around the ring.
