Mr Sharma is a substantive Consultant Upper Gastrointestinal (Upper GI), Bariatric and General Surgeon with extensive experience in cancer, benign and weight-loss surgery. He is also a JAG-accredited therapeutic endoscopist.
He obtained his CCT from the London Deanery and trained at leading centres including St Thomas’, King’s College Hospital, Royal Free Hospital and St George’s Hospital. He completed advanced fellowships in Bariatric Surgery (Sunderland Royal Hospital) and Upper GI/Oesophago-Gastric Cancer Surgery (Nottingham University Hospital).

He has published in peer-reviewed journals and presented nationally and internationally.
