About
Mr Peacock completed his undergraduate training at the University of Nottingham, obtaining honours in his intercalated BMedSci degree with research in colorectal surgery.
His urology specialty training took place in the Southwest of England, rotating around centres including the Bristol Urological Institute (BUI) and Cheltenham General Hospital. He undertook a competitive fellowship in robotic pelvic surgery at the Royal Surrey County Hospital Guildford, one of the highest volume centres for pelvic surgery in the UK.
He was appointed as a Consultant Urological Surgeon in Gloucestershire in May 2024, with a subspecialty interest in pelvic oncology. He is a high-volume robotic surgeon, who takes pride in minimising the functional impact of robotic prostate surgery. As well as his interest in prostate and bladder cancer, he can assess and manage general urology conditions, such as benign enlargement of the prostate, penoscrotal issues and erectile dysfunction.
He is involved in research and has regularly presented and published research internationally. He is currently involved in the GRACE and ELIPSE trials at the Trust. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and a full member of the British Association of Urological Surgeons (BAUS).
He is the current Educational Lead for the urology department at Cheltenham General Hospital, taking a central role in the training and development of future surgeons.

Mr Peacock's research portfolio spans robotic urological surgery, urological oncology, surgical quality improvement, radiation safety, men's health, and clinical governance. His recent work has focused on improving outcomes following robot-assisted surgery for prostate and bladder cancer. Publications include
RESECT: A Randomised Controlled Trial of Audit and Feedback in Non–muscle-invasive Bladder Cancer Surgery (European Urology, 2025)
Studies of Retzius-sparing robot-assisted radical prostatectomy, catheter management, anaesthetic techniques, and robotic intracorporeal Bordeaux neobladder reconstruction (European Urology Open Science, 2024; The Journal of Urology, 2025).
He has also contributed to research on MRI staging in prostate cancer (World Journal of Urology, 2024).
His work extends to patient safety and quality improvement, including:
Complications of Vasectomy: Results from a Prospective Audit of 105,393 Procedures (BJU International, 2024)
Studies defining national reference levels for intraoperative radiation exposure (FLASH) and demonstrating negligible ocular radiation exposure during routine endourology (BJU International, 2019; Annals of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, 2024).
Earlier publications examined urological health in cyclists (Journal of Clinical Urology, 2020; BJS, 2021), quality improvement through clinical audit (International Journal of Surgery, 2018), and rare surgical presentations including adrenal oncocytoma (International Journal of Surgery, 2019). Collectively, these publications reflect a sustained commitment to advancing evidence-based, patient-centred urological practice.
