About
Dr Stuart Anderson is a Consultant Neuropsychologist and HCPC-registered Clinical Psychologist with extensive experience in assessing and treating conditions that affect memory, thinking and behaviour.
He works with adults aged 18 and over, supporting people with cognitive difficulties following brain injury, neurological illness or long-term health conditions. He offers both face-to-face and remote (telehealth) appointments, as well as online cognitive screening.
Dr Anderson specialises in neuropsychological assessment and rehabilitation. He supports patients with a wide range of conditions, including:
- Memory problems and age-related cognitive decline
- Mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and dementia
- Concussion and mild traumatic brain injury
- Stroke, epilepsy and multiple sclerosis
- Parkinson’s disease
- Cancer-related cognitive changes (“chemo brain”)
- Long Covid (post-Covid cognitive symptoms)
He also offers ADHD screening to help people better understand their attention, focus and cognitive strengths. Where appropriate, he provides practical, non-medication strategies to manage ADHD symptoms. (Medication can only be prescribed by a psychiatrist.)
Dr Anderson’s practice uses a range of modern, evidence-based tools, including online cognitive assessments and brain training programmes. He is a registered provider of CogmedTM Working Memory Training.
Alongside his clinical work, Dr Anderson is a Fellow of the British Psychological Society and is listed on the Specialist Register of Clinical Neuropsychologists.

Special interests
All neuropsychological conditions giving rise to cognitive symptoms such as concentration and memory difficulties, and executive problems (e.g. difficulties in planning and organising and carrying out tasks).
Other interests
Dr Anderson has an interest in promoting optimal cognitive health through lifestyle modification and cognitive enhancement (brain training). Other areas of interest include the assessment of driving safety/ fitness to drive and the psychometric assessment of pilots and air-traffic controllers.
