About

I am a consultant dermatologist at the Department of Dermatology at the Lauriston Building in Edinburgh. I graduated from the University of Malta in 2012 and moved to the UK to do foundation training in Oxford. I then moved to Edinburgh and underwent specialty training in Dermatology between 2016 and 2020.

My NHS practice covers all major areas of specialty: adults with severe complex eczema and psoriasis who require immunosuppressive treatments and biologics, patients with skin cancer requiring surgical treatment, adolescents and young adults with acne, patients with autoimmune skin rashes such as lupus or urticaria, and children with a variety of rashed and skin growths.

I have a postgraduate degree in clinical education and teach medical students and prospective dermatology trainees. I supervise and support registrars throughout their training, as well as prescribing pharmacists and advanced nurse practitioners in their roles in the multidisciplinary team.

I am an executive member of the Scottish Dermatological Society representing Edinburgh and the Lothians. I am also a member of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh, the British Association of Dermatologists, as well as numerous special interest groups. I have presented at numerous national and international conferences and published original research and book chapters.
