About

Dr Masud Haq is a highly experienced Consultant in Diabetes and Endocrinology with over 28 years in practice. His work focuses on hormone health and the wider impact it has on energy, weight and long-term wellbeing.

He treats a broad range of conditions, with particular expertise in thyroid disorders, menopause care, testosterone deficiency and replacement therapy, and medical weight management. Patients are often referred to him when symptoms are unclear or difficult to pinpoint. He takes time to understand each case in detail and develops clear, practical treatment plans that are tailored to the individual.

Education and training
Dr Haq qualified with distinction in 1995, training at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Medical School, Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, and St Vincent’s Hospital in Melbourne.

He went on to complete specialist training across leading London hospitals including the Royal Brompton, St George’s, Atkinson Morley, and Chelsea and Westminster. He achieved dual accreditation in Diabetes, Endocrinology and General Medicine in 2006.

He was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians in 2010 and also holds a Diploma from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.

Leadership and wider work
Alongside his clinical practice, Dr Haq has held senior leadership roles. He served as Clinical Lead for his department from 2012 to 2020, helping to shape services and support clinical teams.

He led the development of an integrated community diabetes service in West Kent, improving access to care outside the hospital setting. He has also contributed to national guidance as a member of the Joint British Diabetes Society inpatient care group.

His work has been recognised nationally, including being named a double finalist at the HSJ Value Awards in 2021.

Approach
Dr Haq is known for his calm and methodical approach. He does not rush decisions, taking time to listen, ask the right questions, and explain things clearly.

His focus is on providing high-quality, personalised care, ensuring each patient leaves with a plan they understand and feel confident following.
