About
Dr Lee Lim graduated from Sydney, Australia in 1997. She has general gynaecology and subspecialty accreditation in reproductive medicine and surgery from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecology, UK since 2010. Lee has PhD awarded by the University of Oxford.
She has been appointed as NHS Fertility Lead Consultant at the Oxford University Hospitals (OUH) NHS Foundation Trust since 2010.
Dr Lim specialises in contraception, preconception counselling, fertility, one-stop gynaecology scan and consultation, premature ovarian insufficiency, premenstrual syndrome, menopause, hormone replacement therapy (HRT), recurrent miscarriage, polyendocrine metabolic ovarian syndrome (PMOS – formerly polycystic ovarian syndrome or PCOS), fibroid, ovarian cyst, endometriosis, menstrual disorders and post-menopausal bleeding.
Dr Lim operates on fertility optimisation surgery, removing uterine polyps, septum or uterine adhesions (Asherman syndrome), endometriosis excision, removing uterine fibroids, ovarian cysts, and hysterectomy.
Teaching and leadership
Dr Lim has always been very passionate about training junior doctors; she was the Oxford Deanery Training Program Director and teaching lead for many years.
She is very keen on patient safety, she took on the role of Gynaecology Clinical Governance and audit lead at OUH.
She is also a co-director of a private fertility clinic (IVF), Oxford Reproductive Health.
