Dr Claire Olver

I have 20 years of experience in General Practice. While my main interests in my early career were in women’s health, paediatrics, and mental health, I now find the diversity of being a generalist very fulfilling.

I consult on all aspects of General Practice, and am a panel physician for Immigration Medicals for Australia, New Zealand and Canada. I also now sees patients for weight loss management.

I put a strong emphasis on the doctor-patient relationship, and believe patients should have continuity of care and time to be listened to.

Education

I trained at St George’s Hospital Medical School, graduating in 1998, and qualified as a GP in 2004, having completed GP training in Essex.

Experience

I was a partner in a busy NHS practice in rural Essex from 2004 until 2016. I started a part-time private practice in 2015 in London and the South East, and soon realised the vast benefits of time, accessibility and continuity.

Following my passion for sailing and the great outdoors, I relocated to South Devon in 2018, and now run Private GP Services at Nuffield Hospitals in Plymouth and Exeter.

You can book a consultation online by clicking the 'Book online' button. Make sure you tick the box for your chosen hospital before selecting a date and time, and then follow the on-screen instructions. 

For bookings made online, payment must be made in advance of the appointment. Appointments are not confirmed and guaranteed until payment has been made. A member of the Bookings Team will be in touch once the booking is made to take payment.
