About

Dr Adrian Fowle trained at St Thomas’ Hospital Medical School and completed his specialist training in Clinical Neurophysiology at King’s College Hospital, one of the largest neurophysiology centres in the UK.

From 2002 to 2018, he led the Clinical Neurophysiology Service at St Peter’s Hospital, where he developed extensive expertise in neurodiagnostic testing, including electroencephalography (EEG), electromyography (EMG), and nerve conduction studies (NCS). These investigations play a vital role in diagnosing conditions affecting the brain, nerves and muscles.

He is among the few specialists in the UK who offer neurophysiological testing of the pelvic floor, providing expert assessment of complex nerve and muscle disorders that can affect bladder and bowel function.

Approach to patient care

Dr Fowle is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care. He strives to help patients understand their symptoms and feel reassured throughout the diagnostic process.

In recognition of his dedication to patient care, he was awarded a Certificate of Excellence by iWantGreatCare for three consecutive years.

Teaching and leadership

Alongside his clinical work, Dr Fowle has a strong interest in education and has contributed extensively to national initiatives in teaching, service development and clinical standards.

In 2017, he was honoured to be elected President of the British Society for Clinical Neurophysiology.

Dr Fowle also holds an honorary consultant position at the Atkinson Morley Regional Neuroscience Centre at St George’s Hospital, where he continues to support specialist neurological services.
