About

I trained at St Thomas’ Hospital Medical School and completed my specialist training in clinical neurophysiology (tests that assess how your brain, nerves and muscles are working) at King’s College Hospital, one of the largest centres in the UK.

From 2002 to 2018, I led the Clinical Neurophysiology service at St Peter’s Hospital. During this time, I developed extensive experience in neurodiagnostic testing, including EEG (a test of brain activity), EMG (a test of muscle function), and nerve conduction studies, which help diagnose nerve damage and conditions affecting the muscles.

I am passionate about providing high-quality, patient-centred care. My aim is always to help you understand your symptoms and feel reassured throughout your investigation. I was proud to receive a Certificate of Excellence from iWantGreatCare for three consecutive years.

I also have a strong interest in teaching and have contributed to national work in education and service design throughout my career. In 2017, I was honoured to be elected President of the British Society for Clinical Neurophysiology.

I am one of the few doctors in the UK who offers specialist neurophysiological testing of the pelvic floor, helping to diagnose complex nerve and muscle conditions that can affect bladder and bowel function.

I also hold an honorary consultant role at the Atkinson Morley Regional Neuroscience Centre at St George’s Hospital, where I continue to support specialist neurological services.
