Condition

Urinary infections

Urinary infections can be painful and uncomfortable. They are most common in women but can easily be treated with antibiotics.

Symptoms of urinary infections may include:

  • Urge to urinate frequently
  • A burning feeling when urinating
  • Pain in the lower abdomen

Other symptoms may occur depending on what area of your urinary tract is infected (upper or lower).

Most infections ease within a few days. If your symptoms do not improve or you develop a fever or other 'flu like' symptoms you should seek medical treatment.
