How can I help you improve your health?

I qualified as a physiotherapist in 2005 and started worked in the NHS for 5 years before moving into private practice. I specialise in musculoskeletal and orthopaedic disorders, including sports injuries, neck and back pain, post-trauma and post-operative rehabilitation and arthritis-related problems.

I completed a Sports and Exercise Science Degree prior to training as a physiotherapist and am also an athlete – running for York Knavesmire Harriers and competing in long distance multi-sport events with York Triathlon Club. I am particularly passionate about treating sports injuries, as well as getting people back to sports quickly and effectively, I also really believe in ‘pre-hab’, and love to focus on helping people to avoid injury, train effectively and achieve peak performance.

I love working with people to help them reclaim the quality of life they are looking for, and do the things which make them happy. This could be helping an athlete maintain their peak fitness, or someone with an arthritic knee who just wants to be able to continue walking their dog.

I also regularly use acupuncture in the physiotherapy setting and am a member of the Association of Acupuncture Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP).
