Aileen graduated from Oxford Brookes University in 2001. During her career she has worked extensively in the public, private and sports sectors. She has a specialist interest in the management of sports injuries and has completed masters level education in this. She is trained in the use of clinical Pilates - APPI matwork and equipment levels 1-3.
Due to her keen interest in sport, Aileen has always been passionate about working with athletes of all levels and abilities. From early on in her career she has worked with rugby teams, and has always enjoyed the challenge of enabling athletes of all levels a speedy and safe return to play.
As a triathlete herself Aileen also has a particular interest in treating injuries relating to the three disciplines involved: swimming, cycling and running. She has a strong interest in biomechanics and their influence on sporting performance and injury.
Aileen enjoys treating and engaging patients in managing postural and work related problems. She adopts the approach of treating the acute symptoms as well as exploring the underlying cause of the problem to optimise the long term benefit.
