Matron-led care
Our Hospital Matrons are the key clinical leaders in the delivery of exceptional care; care that is more than safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led.
Care that is patient centred, evidence based, brand defining and innovative, given by talented, well trained, motivated, thoughtful and compassionate individuals working together as a strong team.
Each Hospital Matron is part of the Senior Management Team of their hospital, they report to the Hospital Director and deputise for them in their absence. Their professional lead is the Chief Nurse for Nuffield Hospitals.
We have 31 Matrons who are passionate about ensuring the comfort and safety of all patients. We believe their professionalism and pride in their work are central components to the workings of a hospital.
In fact, they are the glue that holds our excellent hospital teams together. Whilst all our hospitals are very much forward thinking and innovative when it comes to technological advancements in medicine; we are still passionate about the role of Matrons.
